Maybe They’re Born That Way

There are traits your teen is born with like the color of their eyes, their body make-up or their passion for something. Your teen may spend their lives trying to tap into that passion and when they get it right it makes for a magical combination.

They’re born with this passion and like the color of their eyes rarely can it be changed or redirected. Your teen can try and do a job that pays money or one that requires less risk, but ultimately their unhappiness at these types of jobs, if they are not their passion, prevails and they eventually take steps to do what they will love before their soul dies a bit.

The quest for their passion is sometimes challenging. It may require thinking outside the box, dreaming a big dream or a lot of hard work and retries at the obstacles set before them. But as the saying goes, “Obstacles are placed there to see if you really want it.” When it is your teen’s passion, they do not know the pain of hard work, an alternate route or a big risk because they really want it. They only know that this is what they were born to do. This is what makes them happy. This is what they do so effortlessly.

When you see this in your teen trust it. Someone has to succeed. With hard work it can be your teen. With that type of preparation there is bound to be the opportunity that they are prepared for. Isn’t that what we call luck? Really what you know is that if your teen is focused and driven because they have taken the time to listen to their inner voice then you can trust it. You can presume, “Maybe they’re born that way.”
