The Teen Hustle

Sometimes you have to make things happen. You can’t just sit around and wait for them to happen.

Some people refer to this as hustling. True hustling should be about working hard to make your dreams come true. You do what it takes including work for no pay just to show you’re worth the paycheck, taking opportunities to learn whenever possible and being humble around people who know more so you can learn what they know even if your teen has the ideas to make their ideas even better. The hustle.

The hustle is about working hard and yet not thinking of it like hard work because it’s all for your teen’s goals. The teen brain can sometimes forget or not even realize that they want to achieve goals and working hard to get opportunities is required to get there. Remind them of the hustle so they stop focusing on the moment (the HW, the test, the community assignment) and appreciate that this is all a set up to achieve their goals whatever they are. Now go hustle!
